Located in Orange California, just a few miles away from such busy tourist attractions as Disneyland and Angel Stadium, the 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility known as the Data Aire factory also brings in a good share of sightseers on an annual basis. Employing more than 100 people over two separate shifts, there is never a shortage of qualified experts in this active complex to answer any question you may have about precision cooling equipment.  Experience, as they say, is the best teacher, and with that in mind, we encourage visitors to witness the hands-on fabrication of our products. This method ensures a greater understanding and a more educated perspective for engineers, end users and design/build contractors alike.

We offer these tours as part of our commitment to our vendors. Cultivating good relations with our business partners is just as important to us as making sure we’re always on hand for preventative maintenance and replacement parts should the need arise.

Each of our direct expansion (DX) and our chilled-water coil headers are prepared at the factory. Plastic coating is utilized on our DX distributor tubes to prevent refrigerant leaks. Our production line is dedicated to building heat exchangers (condensers and fluid coolers) with standard aluminum housing, variable speed motors/controls and even our optional high efficient EC motors. Among the other products we manufacture in-house are heat exchangers with vertical airflow, special horizons and even low decibel models. We also fabricate indoor condensers with centrifugal blowers or special plug fans. While these procedures can prove challenging, our staff of accomplished professionals are conveniently onsite to make certain everything goes off without a hitch.

Data Aire Inc. is registered to ISO 9001:2008, which is the most universally recognized management system in the world.  Our registrar, Intertek, (known throughout our industry as one of the leading testing and inspecting agencies) certifies that our all of our products meet their rigorous standards for electrical safety; therefore it makes perfect sense that they also certify our QMS (quality management system).  Data Aire’s QMS strives for continual improvement of products and services we offer to our customers.  In line with our ISO system we aim to hear the “voice of the customer” and to respond in a manner assuring customer satisfaction.  To that end we regularly audit, critique and meet and discuss what can be improved and how best to go about it.  Action is taken to improve and then the process begins anew.  This continual process model known as PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) is simple yet effective.

Each and every product Data Aire manufactures is required to complete an extensive full run test.  All data is automatically recorded into our computer testing station electronically.  This is all included with the equipment cost.  A certified Data Aire Test Lab is available for Psychometric Testing Procedures and we are proud to state the lab has always met, if not exceeded the requirements of industry certifying agencies.  This unique procedure (Witness Testing) has been performed for Yahoo, Exxon Mobil, Morgan Stanley, and many other high profile companies.

Photos of a recent tour:

On June 6th, 2012 we had an Open House Event at the factory for local engineers, design/build contractors, and end users.  Many participants left the event learning something they did not know about Data Aire.

Participants had various questions related to plug fans, component access, capacity/size, and controls on our demo units in the bullpen before a guided group tour of many actual Data Aire systems leading to our trade show booth.

Participants were guided down a unit row of actual Data Aire systems in production.  This was an advantage to view systems fresh out of production ready for testing.

Participants were able to see unit cooling in action with our gForce unit in the trade show booth connected to our rack with unit cooling.  The dap4 and plug fans on the gForce unit were in motion as well.

Additional 20 minute break-out sessions:  Air Side Economizers presented by Davis Wilson:  An introduction concerning logic and energy efficiency that our new Air Side Economizer can provide.

Unity Cooling presented by Seth Inyang:  Data Aire’s introduction to High Density Solutions with Air Containment.

So remember Data Aire Factory when you’re planning your next vacation. (And if for some reason you still feel the need for even more entertainment, as we stated, Disneyland is just down the road.)
