The training program is for three days, running from Tuesday through Thursday of the week of training. The design of the class is to provide the seasoned service technician with the tools to perform start-up, maintenance, trouble shoot and operate all of the DAP series of controllers on a Data Aire System. There is also an overview of communications setup/troubleshooting for the main BMS protocols and the DARA-4g2 controller. This program has been approved by NATE (North American Technician Excellence) for 20 hours of CEH (continuing education hours). Class size is limited to 15 students and students are accepted on a first come first service basis. To register for the class, complete the Service Training Application and send it to the factory. Lunch and continental breakfast are provided for all three days. Training materials are included. There is a charge of $395.00 per attendee for the class.

Steve Wellander has been the Service Manager for Data Aire, for over 10 years since 2005. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Pepperdine University. Steve has over 30 years’ experience in the HVACR industry. He has serviced, designed and installed commercial refrigeration, both medium and low temperature, as well as commercial and industrial HVAC systems. As a member of RSES he has attained CM (Certificate Membership) and RCT (RSES Certified Trainer) classifications and he is an approved instructor for NATE.
Classes are conducted at Data Aire’s facility, just 10 minutes from Disneyland. Several airports are convenient including Orange County (SNA) just 20 minutes and Los Angeles International (LAX) a 60 minutes commute. There are many options for lodging and meals in the immediate area and recommendations are available upon request.
