At first glance, every air-conditioning unit might look the same, but they are all built and designed differently. Data Aire has a team of Engineers that design and build our units to perform and operate in sensitive and critical environments. When encountering a Data Aire unit for the first time, it may seem very complicated and confusing, and without the knowledge and tools, it can be very stressful and time consuming. We have found that comprehensive training is essential, therefore, Data Aire offers service classes throughout the year.
Comprehensive Service Knowledge and Experience
This is an in-depth, three day service training class. It will provide you with valuable information to help you understand servicing equipment, but also as to how thoughtfully designed all the equipment is to allow for easy trouble-shooting, repair and maintenance.
We cover a variety of topics, including:
• Data center design as recommended by ASHRAE
• Equipment selection
- Equipment installation
- Data center dynamics
- Piping design
- Equipment start-up
- Service and maintenance
- Electrical and controls
- Variable Speed Technology
- Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF)
All factory classes include a factory tour, which allows a firsthand look at unit construction and design. We always encourage feedback and suggestions regarding the unit design and particularly service.
The factory tour highlights included:
* Observing how all equipment is run-tested
* Seeing how coils are pressurized and tested
* Introduction to all the specials that Data Aire offers
* Tour of our certified Aire Lab
* Looking inside units to realize how much room Data Aire provides to make repair and maintenance as easy as possible
After the tour, the focus turns to the actual functions of the units and controllers. System controls are a major focus – covering both old and new products. This segment covers the operation and programming of our innovative intelligent energy management controls including the Data Alarm Processor 4 (dap4), Dara-4g2 and Zone Master. All control training is “hands on” for the best knowledge immersion and experience.
We deliver comprehensive knowledge for both troubleshooting and maintenance servicing including:
* Troubleshooting the controls from dap II through the latest dap4 technology
* How to utilize the control logic to be more efficient in repairing a Data Aire unit
* How the control’s functionality could help them pinpoint potential issues before they occur
* How to configure the control settings for different applications
* How to use the run-times of the components to suggest items of service before something becomes an issue
Attending our Service Training Course
After attending our training, you will be more efficient during installations, start-ups and troubleshooting; this will save you time, labor and costs.
Keep in mind that classes are not limited to installers and service technicians. We greatly encourage design Engineers and sales personnel to attend, as we have found this training to be a valuable aid in selling and understanding Data Aire products.
All attendees that complete the course receive a Certificate of Achievement indicating that attendees have completed the class and are trained on Data Aire equipment. The class also provides 20 hours of continuing education credits which are NATE (North American Technician Excellence) approved.
Data Aire Service Classes are held at our corporate headquarters in sunny Southern California. Classes are limited in size to 15 attendees for optimum knowledge retention. Registration is required and acceptance is on a first-come first-serve basis. Registration form can be printed directly from the Data Aire web site. The $395.00 registration fee is due for each attendee for the class.
The training can also be held at the customer’s site and can be modified to fit their needs.
